Colby Cotton is a former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University. He is a graduate of the MFA Writing Program at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and recipient of a Tennessee Williams Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. His work appears or is forthcoming in Ploughshares, the Iowa Review, Gulf Coast, Prairie Schooner, Copper Nickel, Verse Daily, and Best New Poets, among others. His manuscript-in-progress has been a finalist for the National Poetry Series, the Alice James Award, the Levis Prize, and the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize. He was raised in upstate New York, and lives in Los Angeles, California.
